Accelerating Global Warming and the Responsibility of the International Community

Global warming is driven largely by human activity. Over the past 50 years, Earth's climate has changed dramatically, and there is no denying that warming is accelerating at an unprecedented pace in recorded history.

In the past, guided by the Paris Agreement's 1.5°C target, nations around the world acted in unison, committing to halving emissions by 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050.

However, the return of the Trump administration in the United States dramatically shifted the tide. The country withdrew from the Paris Agreement — the framework for global environmental protection — and cut off its support for climate action. As a result, international targets have been pushed back, and the rest of the world has been forced to pursue countermeasures without the United States. Things may be fine as long as Trump remains in office, but it is future generations who will be left to pay the price and suffer from accelerating warming.

Furthermore, looking ahead, there is growing concern that global warming will accelerate even further with the rapid spread of AI technology, which consumes massive amounts of water for cooling and generates immense heat.

Now is not the time to be waging wars and exchanging missile strikes across the globe. We must unite on a planetary scale to confront this grave crisis.

I strongly believe the United States must not retreat into "America First" isolationism, but instead step forward to lead the international community, pooling humanity's collective wisdom to safeguard this irreplaceable Earth.
